I really felt called to write this post today. Its just that life is unfolding in unique ways and I go on answering my inner calling. So do you feel as if you dont really belong to the place you are in? Or do you feel as if no one seems to understand you? Does everyone around you keep on telling you that there is something seriously wrong with you? If yes, this is just the post for you.
A bit of my personal experience again. Ever since I was a little child, my father always said this to me,”Why cant you ever use your common sense?” I never quite understood what he meant and felt that there was something lacking within me. It was only when I embrked on my spiritual journey that I understood what it meant. The five senses are common in all. But the sixth sense is mostly a balance of the logical sense and the intuitive sense. But in my case, the intuitive sense was way stronger. I could hardly ever grasp the logical aspect of things. And thats why I always felt that I dont belong here.
It isnt always necessary that we belong to the surroundings where we are raised. Being an intuitive, healer and author, I can easily see that I dont belong to my family of people who dismiss intuition as rubbish. You know in the survival theory, there is a mention of the bird cuckoo which lays its eggs in the crow’s nest. The adult bird feeds solely on fruits but its newly hatched offsprings need a high protein diet to survive. So it places its eggs in the crow’s nest so that its babies are well fed. But those offsprings belong with the cuckoos and are going to transform into fruit eating birds. In the early stages of our lives, we never know why we feel so different. People call us weird and strange. As we grow up, our habits and choices hardly ever match with those around us. And this makes us feel that we do not belong here.
But this isnt something to feel upset about. Do you remember the story of the ugly duckling? This little chick was born in a barnyard where all of the animals thought that he was weird. Growing up he faced many challenges landing up in places he never truly belonged. Finally, he evolved into a beautiful swan and found his home with a flock of swans. We all have a soul family waiting to embrace us. We do belong somewhere. We just need to call in our tribe. And that happens when we embrace our uniqueness and learn to love ourselves fully.
