Spread love, not hate

Almost every single day in our life, we come across people who look down upon us, say mean things to us and make us feel miserable. We often end up having heated arguments which leave us feeling drained and bitter. As I was reading “The choice for love” by Dr. Barbara I realised that we all have a very important role to play, and it is to love all those around us. Loving someone doesnt mean that you need to know them or agree with them. It simply means that its our duty to spread love instead of hate. Dr. Barbara says in her book,“DONT LOOK FOR AN ANGEL, BE ONE.”

Give up the fight, even though you were right,

Stop trying to prove your worth, there is no one like you on this earth.

Those who curse you deserve nothing but your silence,

Your words for them are meaningless, so you let them walk off in silence.

Those who look down upon you arent worthy of your wisdom,

Unhappy souls they are as they hear the voice from within faint and seldom.

Those who have no room for you in their heart,

Release them with love and move apart.

Those who think of others before they think of you, adult-boat-candle-265823do not deserve the bliss of your presence,

Bless them as they too are in pain and let them rejoice in your absence.

Speak only to those who can even hear your silence as they do find meaning in all that you say,

In this world of hate and misery you have a really great role to play,

If only you can spread a little love and pray for all to the heavens above,

Will you realise who you truly are, a symbol of peace like the beautiful white dove,

Meant to bring light to this dark world as the stars shine at night in the skies above.
