“You can always stay away from all the drama.” This is exactly what I get to hear when I go about looking for advice to maintain my sanity in the midst of all drama. This drama happens everywhere, in the house, outside the house and all around us.
You may not be having a very good equation with your co-workers, parents, siblings, relatives or flatmates. You are tired of the constant drama and chaos which sucks out all your energy. And on top of that people say “You do have a choice. Focus on your work. Stay away from all the drama.”
This is no good advice. You cant move out due to your own good reasons and hardly any of us have spiritually attained such levels of detachment that this drama doesnt get to us. The truth is that everyday and in every way you end up feeling more and more miserable and nothing really helps.
Accept that there is no escape
The reason I say this is because I dont like sugar coating the real stuff. Had it been possible, you would have already moved out of your house or workplace away from all the drama.
Drink it off
Okay, so this is not about getting drunk. What I mean is that since you have got to survive this, go do it. Whatever suits you best, go for it- novels, television, gym, writing, gardening anything that makes you calmer.
Lets see if believing works
According to my spiritual knowledge, they say that if you imagine and visualise things and keep on believing in them, you are going to attract all the good stuff. This feels really good.
Starting from self compassion you can cultivate compassion for all. People creating drama are not usually happy people. Send them some love and healing.
