About three years ago, I remember studying really hard for an exam. It was peak winter at that time and very often my batchmates and I would be out in the beautiful sunshine stydying in perfect harmony.
On one such afternoon as I was just heading for lunch, I heard a group of them discussing or rather stressing about the examiners, the question paper and so on.
I remember rushing into my room and saying, “Why worry about that? Let me focus on what I can do.”
And then for years, everytime I would be threatened with thoughts of worry I would simply tell myself to focus on what I can do.
This is magic you see. But when things get really messed up it gets so hard to stay away from the web of worries. But even when you cant handle it anymore, simply bringing your focus back to what you need to work on does it easy.
You may not know how you will pay the rent or how you will pay your bills but yes you do go to work, do the laundry, eat, sleep and pray.
The magic of surrender lies in placing the situation in God’s hands and allowing him to take care of it. Then you bring your focus back on what you are doing. Surrender does not mean refraining from doing work or escaping the stuff at hand.
SURRENDER= Allowing God to take over+ Believing+Working
